01 MEET CHEWI

Chewi

A big smile. An even bigger heart.

AGE: about 5–6 years
WEIGHT: 21 kg / 46.3 lb
SEX: Male

Chewi is a loving, cuddly and calm boy who was rescued with Dulce from an apartment staircase in San Carlos, Sonora.

His name comes from the excited little “ar-ar-ar” sounds he makes when someone he loves comes home. He sounds just like Chewbacca, and that joyful welcome inspired his name.

A little about me

I'm very loving and cuddly. I can be timid at first, but I'm relaxed at home and famous for my beautiful smile.

I love long walks, running, hiking, belly rubs, and chicken.

At home & in good health

I'm neutered and microchipped, my vaccines are up to date, and I have no known health concerns.

I'm house-trained. My favorite activity is walking and hiking. I don't beg for food.

My kind of home

I'd love a quiet home with people who have time for daily walks and activity with me.

I can be protective around dogs or cats I don't know, so I need slow, responsible introductions. I haven't spent much time with children.

My bonded friend: Dulce. A home together is preferred; suitable separate homes will also be considered.

02 MEET DULCE

Dulce

Her name means sweet. It fits perfectly.

AGE: about 4–5 years
WEIGHT: 12 kg / 26.5 lb
SEX: Female

Dulce means sweet in Spanish, and she is the epitome of sweet. She was rescued with Chewi from an apartment staircase in San Carlos, Sonora.

She is shy and timid at first, but she is incredibly loving once she feels safe. Her signature look is one ear up and one adorable ear down.

A little about me

I'm shy and timid, but deeply loving. One of my ears stands up while the other adorably droops.

I love car rides, long walks, running, exploring, beach trips, belly rubs, and hopping onto the bed to say hello in the morning.

At home & in good health

I'm spayed and microchipped, my vaccines are up to date, and I have no known health concerns.

I'm house-trained. My favorite activity is walking and hiking. I don't beg for food.

My kind of home

I'd love a quiet, loving home with people who have time for daily walks and activity with me.

I'm timid around dogs I don't know and curious about cats, so proper introductions are important for me. I haven't spent much time with children.

03 MEET MAMA

Mama

A mother at heart, always.

AGE: about 3 years
WEIGHT: 17 kg / 37.5 lb
SEX: Female

Mama was found extremely thin in a field near San Carlos, caring for five puppies. Even while struggling to survive, she continued protecting them.

She is called Mama because she is Chipi’s mother, but her caring nature extends far beyond her own daughter. She watches over all the dogs and naturally takes on the motherly role.

A little about me

I'm calm and easygoing at home, but I love getting outside for a run. I'm a mother at heart, and I watch over the other dogs.

I love daily walks, running outside, affection, and keeping an eye on my family.

At home & in good health

I'm spayed and microchipped, my vaccines are up to date, and I have no known health concerns.

I'm house-trained and I don't beg for food. In fact, I always take the last treat because it's important to me that my family eats first.

My kind of home

I'd love a caring home with daily walks, exercise, and people who take their time introducing me to new dogs.

I need slow introductions to dogs I don't know and respect for my personal space. I need a home without cats, and I haven't spent much time with children.

04 MEET CHIPI

Chipi

A little sunshine on four paws.

AGE: about 2 years
WEIGHT: 15 kg / 33.1 lb
SEX: Female

Chipi is short for Chipilón, a word describing someone who feels especially cuddly and affectionate and wants to be held, comforted or given extra love and attention. The name fits her perfectly.

Chipi was one of five puppies found with Mama in a field near San Carlos. Four puppies found homes, but Chipi was not adopted, so she and Mama were taken in together.

A little about me

I'm past the puppy stage, with balanced energy and a playful, friendly nature.

I love chasing balls, running, long hikes, and beach trips.

At home & in good health

I'm spayed and microchipped, my vaccines are up to date, and I have no known health concerns.

I'm house-trained. I really appreciate post-walk naps. But after my nap I'll probably look up to you with my big eyes to say hello and see if you're ready to play again.

My kind of home

I'd love a caring home where I can enjoy daily walks, exercise, play, and plenty of attention.

I may bark a little at first, but I'm friendly with other dogs once we get acquainted. I haven't spent much time with children or cats.

Adoption may be possible in Mexico, Canada, or the United States. Transport depends on location and arrangements. The dogs will be travelling to Canada (Alberta) at the end of October.
